Conference Accessibility

The Meaningful Care Conference Planning Committee hopes to make this conference as accessible as possible.

ASL and Spanish interpretation will be available in key sessions. These sessions will be clearly marked on the agenda in the Whova app. You can indicate whether you need language interpretation as part of the registration process.

Communication access real-time translation (CART) will also be available in select sessions. Where CART is not offered, we will use Zoom’s built-in captioning.

The conference is also offering FREE childcare! Childcare will be provided by Reliable Nanny Connections.

Childcare is available from 8:30am - 6pm. Children are welcome in public spaces at the discretion of the parent. In addition, a chestfeeding/breastfeeding room will be available.

Please sign up for childcare no later than March 17th.

COVID Precautions

Meaningful care is designed to center those among us who are, or live with others who are immunocompromised, disabled, aging, recovering, or otherwise more vulnerable to communicable diseases. Masking provides group protection against viral illness and can show solidarity among attendees. We strongly encourage and request that in-person attendees wear masks if they are able.

The conference planning committee also aims to prevent the spread of illness by limiting the number of people in each room, providing an outdoor space, and offering hand sanitizer to all attendees. We are also exploring the addition of air purifiers in the meeting rooms.

Language Interpretation

American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish interpretation will be available in select sessions. These sessions will be clearly marked on the agenda in the Whova app.

Communication access real-time translation (CART) will also be available in select sessions. Where CART is not offered, we will use Zoom’s built-in captioning.
